Help
How it works
- Find a session. Sessions are listed on the home page. Times are shown in your own time zone.
- Book a place. Sign in, open the session, and press Reserve a place.
- Join on Zoom. We email you a reminder before it starts. Open the session and press Join in Zoom.
Joining with Zoom
- Zoom may ask to open its app. If you don’t have the app, choose Join from your browser.
- When asked, allow your camera and microphone.
- You can check your setup any time at zoom.us/test.
Zoom for hosts
Connecting Zoom lets the Hub create your meeting and open it when you press Start. It’s optional: you can paste your own Zoom link instead.
- Connect. Go to your Account page, press Connect Zoom, sign in to Zoom and choose Allow.
- Start a session. Open your session and press Start session in Zoom. The Hub creates the meeting, with the waiting room on, and opens it in a new tab. Admit people from Zoom’s waiting room.
- Disconnect. On your Account page, press Disconnect Zoom. To remove the app from Zoom as well, open the Zoom App Marketplace, go to Manage then Added Apps, and remove The Work Hub.
Disconnecting removes the Hub’s saved Zoom tokens, host/account identifiers, pending connection requests and live participant counters. It also removes the automatic Zoom tracking from your listings. Your Hub profile, bookings, session listings and existing Zoom meetings are not deleted; their saved join links remain. If Zoom cannot confirm the token was revoked, the Hub asks you to remove the app in Zoom too. Removing the app in Zoom sends a signed notification that clears the same connection data from the Hub. Reconnect from Account to use automatic meeting creation again.
Having trouble? See Zoom troubleshooting or contact us.
Hosts in the EU: connecting Zoom isn’t available in the EU yet. Paste your own Zoom meeting link under Use or change an existing Zoom link on your session. After you start, press Mark as live so members know the session is running, and End listing when you finish. The same buttons appear for anyone who uses a pasted link.
The Hub keeps only what it needs to run your meetings: your Zoom connection (encrypted), your meeting IDs, and live counts derived from hashed participant identifiers. It never stores Zoom participant names, emails, recordings or chat. See the Privacy Notice.
Zoom troubleshooting
- Can’t connect? Sign in with your invited Hub account and complete your profile first. If Zoom asks for administrator approval, ask your Zoom account administrator to approve The Work Hub. Hosts in the EU should paste their existing Zoom link instead.
- Connection expired or the app changed? Return to Account and choose Reconnect Zoom. Start the connection there, not from an old bookmarked authorization link, and finish within ten minutes using the same Hub account.
- Can’t create or reopen a meeting? Check that your profile is complete and the session is available, reconnect Zoom and allow the requested permissions. Use the Zoom account that owns the meeting. You can also paste an existing meeting link on your session.
- People are waiting or the live count is unknown? Admit people from Zoom’s waiting room. A Hub reservation is not a Zoom participant count. Counts can be unavailable while updates arrive or after reconnecting; pasted links use Mark as live andEnd listing instead of automatic tracking.
- No browser join option? That option depends on the host’s Zoom settings. Use the official Zoom app or ask the host for help. The Hub does not access your camera or microphone.
When asking for help, include the session link, the time and the error message. Never send passwords, Zoom tokens or private host-start links.
