Make room for each person

Treat people respectfully across differences in background, language, identity, experience, and belief. Harassment, discrimination, threats, coercion, and unwanted sexual conduct are not welcome.

Swearing and honest descriptions of stressful thoughts are allowed. Do not direct hostile messages at other people or post pornography, sexually explicit material, or graphic violence. Quoting a thought for inquiry does not give permission to target someone with abuse.

Administrators review new profiles, session listings, and their images before publication. Changes to approved content also need review. If changes are requested, you can edit and resubmit or ask for another review through your account.

Participation is voluntary. People may decline a question, remain quiet where the format permits, turn off a camera where permitted, or leave. Do not pressure someone to disclose personal information, accept an interpretation, or buy additional services.

Protect what people share

Do not publish another participant's name, image, attendance, story, or contact information without permission. Do not forward private meeting links or invite additional observers without the host's agreement.

Do not record, take screenshots, transcribe, or introduce an AI note-taking tool unless everyone affected explicitly agrees beforehand and applicable consent requirements are met. The host must explain the purpose, audience, and storage of any agreed recording. Silent recording bots are not permitted.

Confidentiality is a community obligation, not a technical guarantee or professional legal privilege. Share only what you are comfortable sharing with the people present.

Describe your role honestly

Label peer exchanges and group practice accurately. Do not fabricate credentials, impersonate a facilitator, or imply official endorsement. About & Independence explains the certification checkmark.

Do not promise guaranteed outcomes or pressure people to replace professional care with community sessions.

Be considerate with people's time

Keep listings current. Arrive on time, cancel promptly if needed, and follow disclosed admission and late-arrival rules. Hosts should close unavailable partner listings and communicate changes to registered participants.

Keep community access fair

Do not spam, harvest contact information, send unsolicited promotions, evade suspensions, or misuse reports to target another member. Obtain permission to use event images and other materials. Identify promotional offers clearly; do not present them as free practice.

Report a concern

Use a session's reporting option to raise a concern about the event or a participant. Include the relevant details and a factual description, avoiding unnecessary sensitive information about others.

The review team may ask for clarification, remove a listing, restrict access, or suspend an account. Where appropriate, affected members will receive an explanation and a way to request review. Reports have restricted access, but absolute confidentiality cannot be promised in every investigation.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the relevant local emergency service. Platform reporting is not continuously monitored emergency support.
